Dr Fitzsimons began performing refractive surgery upon delivery of the first lasers into Australia in 1990. His expertise includes all aspects of refractive surgery including Lasik, Clear Lensectomy, Photorefractive Keratectomy, and Refractive Keratoplasty.

He is a member of the Royal Australian College of Ophthalmologists, the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

Catherine Severino B.Ap.Sc (Orthoptics) (Hons)
Lasik & Refractive Surgery Manager

Catherine graduated from The University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Orthoptics Honours degree. She has worked in several leading ophthalmology practices with vast experience in refractive surgery and caring for patients with eye diseases.

Catherine leads the Lasik team and performs complimentary laser and refractive consultations. She assesses patients eyes on their suitability for surgery and discusses surgical options available to reduce their dependence on glasses.

Catherine enjoys assisting in surgery and caring for patients prior to and after their procedure. Having had laser eye surgery herself, Catherine can discuss her experience with you and answer all your questions regarding surgery.

Selina Webb B.Ap.Sc (Orthoptics)

Selina graduated from The University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Orthoptics. Selina is part of the LASIK team consulting at our Penrith rooms. Selina can answer all your questions about how to reduce your dependence on glasses and advise your suitability as a LASIK candidate, without having to come to our Parramatta rooms.

Margaret Gallagher Senior Receptionist

Margaret has worked in the field of ophthalmology since 1996 and enjoys working with people.

Margaret has had LASIK surgery herself in 2003, and her vision is now 20/20.

She is thrilled with the results and says, "It is great to see patients’ faces and the computer without the hassles of taking off and putting on the glasses."
