Dr Nancy Younan

Comprehensive Ophthalmologist

Dr. Nancy Younan is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who completed her medical degree at the University of New South Wales, graduating with Honours. Her specialist  ophthalmology training was completed at the Prince of Wales Hospital, and she was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists in 2003. She gained further clinical experience as Ophthalmology Fellow at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital in the United Kingdom.

Dr. Younan has been awarded a Master of Public Health from the University of New South Wales and has had publications on various subjects of ophthalmology in peer reviewed journals.

She worked in Tasmania for a number of years,  where she held positions as a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at several public and private hospitals.  She also provided rural ophthalmology clinics for the North West Coast of Tasmania and participated in public cataract waiting list initiatives.

She was a consultant ophthalmic surgeon at Bankstown-Lidcombe public hospital, where she participated in ophthalmology registrar surgical training. She has also performed charitable cataract surgery overseas.

Dr Younan is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who performs injections for macular degeneration  and  diabetes. She enjoys treating patients of different age groups. She is fluent in Arabic.
